Durham Reds at Leveldale Farms
Leveldale Farms now has a small group of Durham Reds, created by matching the best of both breeds. We will be adding more information about this exciting new breed in the near future.
In the meantime, here are a couple of outstanding calf prospects in our growing Durham Red herd. Both calfs are by the bull Cherokee Canyon (shown below). The females are both two years old, and are sired by Ar Su Lu Vann x, out of RB Golden Chain 115th x ( Reg #3996826 a daughter of RB Eagle 148th x). They both calved this spring unassisted and were cycling within 45 days. The calves averaged 80 pounds at birth.
